I've also reformatted the title attribute tooltips, per some long-standing requests. The code seems to be working across OS X/Win XP, Mozilla/IE/Safari/Opera. As usual, if something breaks, gimme me a shake.

Any way I could steal said code from you? I've been looking for a decent small-footprint cross-browser footnoting solution for years, ever since overlib finally broke one time too many for me to bother fixing it again.
