autosave me
Does anyone actually know how to use Movable Type's dynamic content feature? My stabs at it have brought me nothing but anxiety.

My suggestion is one you probably don't want to hear. Switch to Wordpress. It rules all over MT.

I'm not averse to that notion, but is converting a headache? I'm unfamiliar with non-MT weblog engines.

It was a snap for me, although there were some hiccoughs with the date formatting on the pre-MT entries I imported. It's not like anyone looks at archives anyway.
Wordpress is open-source, has tons of plugins and is extremely user-friendly. Once you get used to the interface [which doesn't take long] you'll be quite comfortable.

The incipient panic of learning new syntax coupled with the basic undesirability of MT's dynamic content options moved me to avail of a kludge involving scheduled cron jobs on my server. Not that I knew what a cron job even was until yesterday, but that's what customer support is for.

Yeah, whenever I see the word "cron job" I get an inexplicable image of Tetsuo: The Iron Man in my head.

It's also likely something a certain Canadian director named David receives every now and then from a starlet on one of his sets.
